Sevak the Unmoved and the Disappeared New Year

After the long and hard exam week, December 21 was more than awaited at Ayb School. It was the time to watch the annual New Year’s concert prepared by our students.

The concert began, as the school’s Head Aram Pakhchanian mentioned, with the “official partm” during which our graduates were awarded with long-awaited Araratian Baccalaureate diplomas, which were earned by our students with hard work.

After making our alumni happy, the turn of the whole Ayb community came; they gathered to celebrate the end of the exams and the upcoming New Year.

As always, the students of Ayb School surprised everyone with their talents and creativity. From our favorite Armenian folk dances to Georgian dances, from the boys' choir to interesting musical performances, all of this was spiced up with special Ayb jokes, fun and an interesting plot.

The main hero of the performance was our 11th grader Sevak, who did not like the celebrations of New Year and dreamed of it to disappear. Losing what he had, he began to appreciate the celebration of our favorite holiday and to desire to celebrate it with his loved ones.

And what a New Year without Santa Claus, who at the end of the event congratulated all of us on the coming New Year and advised not to become a victim of technology and to appreciate the holidays and celebrations that warm our hearts.

This exciting, victorious and interesting year at Ayb School is over, we are all waiting for our new achievements in the new year.

Happy New Year and Merry Christmas to all of us!

Yeva Seylanyan
